Our Story
An older idea of hospitality
Benidon was imagined as a counterpoint to the city it loves — a place where Abia State hums below and everything above it slows down.

Since 2011
A house built for the pause between journeys
Benidon began as a private residence in aba — a family house known among friends for its long dinners and longer silences. When it opened its doors as a hotel in 2011, the brief was simple: change as little of that feeling as possible.
Today the house keeps forty-eight rooms and suites, a restaurant of quiet ambition, a black-tiled pool above the lagoon and a spa drawn from West African botanicals. What has not changed is the arithmetic of the place: more staff than rooms, more time than schedule, more listening than telling.
We are not the largest address in Abia State, nor the loudest. We intend to remain neither.

What We Hold To
Three quiet convictions
01
Quiet before everything
We build for silence first — thick walls, soft closures, hushed corridors — because rest is the rarest luxury a city can offer.
02
Precision, not spectacle
Luxury here is a pressed sheet, a remembered preference, a table held without being asked. Nothing gilded; everything considered.
03
Abia State, distilled
From the kitchens to the spa, the house draws on the city around it — its markets, makers and materials — refined to its essence.
